Review & Description
Titration tests are tests where you determine the quantity of salt in pool water by adding a liquid reagent of known strength and measuring the volume necessary to convert the constituent to another form.
Directions
- Fill sample tube to 10mL mark with water to be tested.
- Add 1 drop Chromate Indicator, swirl to mix and sample should turn yellow.
- Add Silver Nitrate Reagent drop wise, swirling and counting after each drop until color changes from yellow to red.
- Multiply the drops by 200 and record as parts per million sodium chloride
Titrations tests improve accuracy and eliminate color-matching problems. Tests for sodium chloride in the pool or spa water and 1 drop = 200 PPM.
